Thomas Electronics Expands into South East Asian market

Thomas Electronics prides itself on providing service to international clientele, and has recently extended its customer base into the south-east Asia area by attaining certification as an Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).

Following their approval of Thomas’ comprehensive documentation package, CAAS, represented by Senior Airworthiness Manager Heng Siow Khee and his colleague Kok Liang Tang, visited the Thomas Electronics maintenance facility on 4th-5th June 2008 to conduct their initial certification inspection of the facility.

By June 30th the certification had been approved and the CAAS certificate issued, bringing Thomas Electronics’ total of certifications from National Airworthiness Authorities (NAA’s) to five.  Thomas already holds certifications from FAA in the United States, EASA in Europe, CASA in Australia, and CAAC in China, with a pending application currently with JCAB in Japan.

Thomas is now providing display support services to Singapore Airlines under the new CAAS certification, and is looking forward to providing high quality, meeting or exceeding the customer’s expectations, and fulfilling CAAS airworthiness standards, into the future.
