Allen Choong, Asia Pacific Avionics Representative
In keeping with Thomas’ role as an avionic component support provider to the international airlines, Thomas has appointed a new Asia Pacific Avionics representative, Allen Choong of Avica Aviation Pte Ltd.
With branches in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in China and Singapore, Allen’s company is now responsible for sales and marketing of avionics components supplied by Thomas in Southeast Asia and the People’s Republic of China.
Allen, an industrial electrical engineer, has had 23 years’ experience in the aviation industry – 8 years in handling aircraft ground support equipment business in Southeast Asia, followed by 15 years in China. His fluency in Chinese and English, and his understanding of the Chinese culture, help him to communicate with Asian customers effectively.
Allen has recruited additional sales and engineering staff to strengthen the existing sales force. He is committed to expanding Thomas’ avionics display business in the Asia-Pacific region, and will ensure that all staff have the training they need.
Allen Choong sees many opportunities in the region. In his words, “Thomas Electronics has done very well in Europe, Middle East and North America with many satisfied customers.
